Beer Can Chest Pictures - Part 1

These are pictures of the beer can chest within hours of getting it back home. No cleaning has yet been performed, but thinking started of how to best get this thing apart! The first part of this transaction was probably the easiest, but how to proceed next???

Also, we are interested in any details about the metal pieces on the back of the chest as can be seen in the BackFull picture. There was a small strip of metal with orange circles on brown background with text "Route 66 Imitation Lemon Soda". Beneath it there was another strip of metal with what looked like "Snowdrift Cakes". Perhaps these extra pieces of metal can provide some clues as to the chest's origins, and maybe all three were manufactured by the same canning company. Note that both of these extra pieces have since been discarded.
